Shannon McGaugh, LMFT-Associate
Shannon works out of our Denton office, and also sees clients virtually. She received her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Flagler College in Saint Augustine, Florida. After a career in coaching Women's basketball, she decided to return to school to earn her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Webster University in Greenville, South Carolina.
Shannon had a career in South Carolina, with over 15 years of experience in doing counseling and case management with a very diverse population, including the homeless population, mentally ill clients, and those that were abused, addicted, and incarcerated. She recently moved to Texas, opening a private practice, which includes contracting with A Family Place!
In conducting individual, couples, and family therapy, Shannon strives to bring peace, joy and a loving environment to each person she works with.
Treatment Orientation : EMDR, Emotionally Focused, Family Systems, Solution-focused, Cognitive-behavioral therapy, Multicultural, Relational, Strength-based, and trauma-informed therapy.

Fees/Insurance Accepted: Shannon's full fee is $135, with a sliding fee based on household income/number of dependents. She accepts referrals from "Open Path Collective" at a reduced fee; and accepts Aetna & Cigna through supervisory billing.
