Michelle Aldridge Morris, LCSW-S has been in the mental health field for over 25 years. Most of this work was with non-profit agencies helping families in trouble. In 2000, she started a private practice, and when she moved to Mandeville, Louisiana in 2003, she and her sister shared a practice called A Family Place.  But, after the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, Michelle and her family moved back to Texas, and so did her practice.  A Family Place - Counseling opened in December of 2007.

 

Michelle has over 25 years experience working with children, adolescents and families in the mental health field. This experience includes: outpatient therapy with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families; residential treatment for children; intensive home-based family treatment; school counseling & crisis intervention; therapy with juvenile probationers, and supervision of interns or other therapists working toward their licensure.

 

She is trained in multiple modalities, including:  EMDR, TF-CBT, and play therapy.  She is also a TBRI practitioner.  She has extensive knowledge and experience in:
