Simran Doshi, M.S. 

Simran is multi-lingual, speaking:  English, Gujarati, Hindi, and Marathi. She obtained her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Amity University in Mumbai, India.  She has several years of experience in India, as a Counselor working with children and adults in the mental health field.  When she moved to the US, she began to pursue a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  She has completed her coursework and is working on her practicum and internships.  We are very happy to have her join our team!! 

Simran has an interest in helping clients with self-esteem, medidation and mindfulness, emotional disturbance, sexual assault/abuse/harrassment, perinatal and post partum mental health, communication problems, behavioral concerns, women's issues, burnout, coping, grief/loss, intellectual & learning disabilities, attachment issues, and chronic illness.

She specializes in person centered therapy, working with young adults, and multi-cultural counseling.

Treatment Orientation: Simran's theoretical platform as a therapist includes the following modalities:  Solution-focused Brief Therapy; Art Therapy; Person-Centered Therapy; Parent/Child Interaction Therapy, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, and Strength-based Therapy.

Fees:  Individual/Family sessions are offered on a sliding scale fee.  This fee is mainly based on household income & number of dependents, but may include other factors.  Most interns can charge a fee similar to an insurance copay.
