Crystal Clark, PhD, MA, LPC

Crystal received her Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Houston Graduate School of Theology and her PhD in Forensic Psychology from Walden University.  She is currently a licensed professional counselor.  She has gained a wide range of experience through working with different clients of multiple backgrounds. She got her start working in a male corrections facility, working with chronic mental health and helping individuals through trauma, substance use, and dual diagnosis. She also has individual and group experience with teenagers in corrections and/or probation. With this population, she has helped teens with trafficking, trauma, sexual abuse, substance use, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. She also has a background in working with the teens and their families to help build stronger relationships, work through shared trauma, and build effective communication.

For eight years her focus has been on helping people heal safely and effectively. She believes that change is always possible. It is her passion to walk with you through the process. Her work history with the juvenile and adult corrections systems has helped steer her toward a passion on working with trauma. Trauma can be many different things. Her job as a therapist is to provide you a safe environment to process and heal. She has experience with addiction, crisis management, adults and children.

Treatment Orientation: Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, family therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and trauma-informed therapy.
