Yolanda Patko, LPC

Yolanda has been in the mental health field for 20 years.  She received her Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University, then obtained 2 Masters degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Those degrees were in Education and Marriage and Family Counseling. Since then, she has had a wealth of experience in different settings.  Most of her work was providing groups and family counseling, while also teaching several Psychology and Counseling courses as an Adjunct Professor.  She had a private practice for several years where she provided individual, couples and family counseling.  She specialized in play therapy with children.

Yolanda suffered a stroke in 2018, and worked hard on her recovery in physical therapy.  Throughout her rehabilitation, she kept her license active, and continued education in the field. Her cognitive and clinical abilities were not affected by the stroke, but she still struggles at times with the use of the right side of her body, which results in slower speech.

Yolanda has extensive experience in play therapy, which is her specialty.  She prefers to work with clients aged 3 to 13.
